Dr. Tammy Sutterfield has a Doctorate in Behavioral Health and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She is well-equipped to address the multifaceted and diverse behavioral health care needs of individuals with chronic disease as well as their caretakers. The breadth and scope of her education and work, as well as her personal experience with chronic illness, makes her uniquely positioned to assist clients in finding paths to fuller lives.
The key to her successful therapeutic relationships is understanding the illness conundrum from the client’s perspective. She works to empower and motivate clients to engage in self-care activities as well as to help them discover their individual ability to heal. With her, you will investigate the behavioral story behind the disease, thereby exploring and experimenting with ways to address the physical, emotional, and social aspects.
Tammy is licensed to deliver mental health and chemical dependency services in the states of Texas and Washington as well as mental health services in the state of Colorado. She has also met national certifications in mental health and chemical dependency as well as telebehavioral health.
Tammy is a Reiki Master and has certificates of completion in craniosacral therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
